Carrot cake at Muffin Taffin for November orders

In November, Muffin Taffin bakes carrot cake for orders in Budva, when markets still have sweet autumn carrots.

Guests choose it among the cakes when sales rise toward the weekend in Montenegro.

How we bake and serve it

We grate the carrots finely, fold them into a spiced batter with cinnamon and a little oil, then bake until the crumb is moist but set.

After cooling, we cover the cake with cream-cheese frosting that stays soft in the mild November air along the coast.

Whole cakes go out for orders, and we cut slices for sales in the shop when dessert is needed the same day.
